Glenridge Hall - Atlanta, GA
Glenridge Hall, in Sandy Springs, Georgia, is on the National Register of Historic Places. It is
home to an active family and is a favorite of national movie producers, having been included in
such films as "Remember the Titans" and "Bobby Jones." The only problem facing this lovely home
was that the old slate roof leaked.
And the slate roof had to meet the historic, artistic, and practical needs of the
clients.
The slate roof pieces were chosen by hand to match the portions of the roof that did not need to be
replaced to reduced the cost of the project. Each slate tile was numbered, removed, evaluated,
replaced or restored, and placed back on a new sub-roof.
